Jada Petsch's Journal, 12 May 11

My first day of recovery has gone rather well...all things considered. Almost fainted this morning, not sure what caused it, but it was definitely an experience I won't forget anytime soon. cold, clammy skin, your legs and arms become very weak, nausea, dizziness, then the darkness starts closing in. Luckily my Hubby came to my rescue, and helped me back to bed, and I was fine after I laid down for a bit. I've taken mostly ibuprofen for pain today. The doctor prescribed me loratab and tylenol with codine to take for pain. But honestly I haven't needed it. My foot is a little stiff at times, and a bit sore, occasionally itchy too where the stitches are. And as the meds wear off, it gets progressively more sore, and feels more like a bee has stung my foot. Besides that stayed in bed most of the day, tried to rest as much as possible. I did fold some laundry this morning, also heated up chicken and marinara sauce, and made some pasta for dinner. It was pretty good. My appetite has been missing most of the day. So I've had to force myself to actually eat anything today. Read alot in bed today. Re-reading Joust series by Mercedes Lackey. :) Basically it's Dragons and dragon riders mixed with Egyptian culture. Very good series. I love how it goes into the details of training and such. ^.^ This is probably my 5th or 6th time reading the series. I loves it that much. Anywho, it's time to catch the baby, and get her ready for bed and at the speed I hobble, it might take a few mintues. so TTFN. :)

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. What happened to your foot?

Sucks that you almost fainted, but by the fact that you don't have to take the really strong pain meds says you're healing well!

I had a cyst on the top of my left foot, and after several months of the less invasive treatment, we had to cut the thing out. :( But overall it's less painful than when it was in, though like stated above, I have been taking things to help with pain and swelling. Just not alot of stuff. The pain is worse in the morning when all medication has wore off. Ibuprofen works the best me thinks. I have a good bit of swelling. I have a high tolerance for pain, and when I do take meds they work VERY well on me. I have an extremely low tolerance for pain meds, and never even get through 1/2 of what they prescribe me.
