I hope my weight goes down tomorrow. I hate micromanaging my scale. Maybe I should stick to twice a week?

Also:
I think I don't like support groups because I feel public failure... and I don't like people trying to placate me and say "Oh, but we're all alike here... no worries." Yes, there are worries. There are consequences for not living up to what you've committed to, or at least there should be. How do you think I got this fat in the first place? No consequences. Phew!! ...feels better just having said that. :)

To avoid the usual "you can do it!" comments I'll give u a couple pieces of advice that has worked for me... Weigh in once a week. The scale fluctuates for ANYTHING and a bad weigh in can impede ur progress... Take it from me... A serious scale hater... Once a week will let ur body process what ur doing with out daily fluctuations... Then.. Pick a day that works best. I allow for a cheat day... Never weigh in after that lol! Today was my free day... So I won't weigh in till after at least 5 days of going full force... so I start weighing in Fridays or Saturday's.. if I'm good Saturday too then Sunday morning it is. .. Hope this helps... And I can try to help In any other way if needed! Feel free to add me as a buddy... Good luck!

This particular support community is why I'm losing. It's hard to be embarrassed when everyone on board has the exact same problem. Yes, there are consequences, but you're the only one who has to live with your failures and also your successes. Your STARTING weight is what I now weigh after a full year of working at this. I started at 279 lbs. The thing about this site is that if you have questions, all you have to do is ask. Those of us who are having some success do not preach that our way is the only way. We know that everyone is different and may need a totally different approach than our own. Many of us, particularly those of us who are older, may have health issues that preclude one type of diet or another. Therefore, when you ask for advice, you may get many different answers, and one of them may be exactly right for you. You never know. Also, unless you want to be more personal, you are completely anonymous. Therefore, public failure does not have to be an issue unless you let it be. We are here to help when you have upsets and cheer on your successes if you will let us. We make a great sounding board. Please take advantage of that and happy losing!

Oh, and by the way, I weigh every day, but I only log it on Thursday mornings and then I usually have a wonderful day of free eating that day. My weight can fluctuate as much as 6 lbs. a day, but if I only log it on Thursday, it shows my true loss or gain, not my daily fluctuations. It has worked out beautifully and I don't get discouraged by the scale. Also, Dr. Oz often reminds us that waist is more important than weight. Make sure you keep track of your waist measurements fairly frequently.
