Last year October I decided it's time to start eating right again. The trigger was a size 44 jeans and 3XL t-shirt that was getting too small.
I always had oats for breakfast. For some reason I one morning decided to do scrambled eggs. The oats normally will last me till 9:00/9:30 then I'm hangry again. The eggs lasted till 14:00/14:30. So I did eggs the following day again. Lunch normally is a chicken wrap. Evenings some meat with veg or salad. During December, I know, wrong timing of me, I decided to start fasting. First a 16/8, then 18/4 and currently, since Jan, 20/1. That's when I seriously started seeing results. At my last weight in I dropped to a size 38 and XL t-shirt. I think the size 38 is also too big, but that's what I had in the cupboard and I'm not going to buy new closes just yet. I even fit into my medium Adidas tracksuit pants again. I last used them 10+ years ago. Weight dropped from 131kg to 101kg.
Currently , since Jan, I'm only eating in the evenings. I don't get cravings during the day. Yes, I do sometimes get hungry, but some water with a pinch of salt gets me through it. During the day I only have water, coffee/tee with no milk or sugar. Come evenings I have meat veg/salad with a whole avo. No heavy or refined carbs. Only the carbs from the veggies or salad.
The last month I started cycling again. Only every second day and max 3 times a week. From week 2 I already noticed a difference. Currently getting some dumbbells sorted for the days in between the cycling.
I get a lot of people telling me I'm doing wrong with my diet and exercise. 'You need carbs' and all that stuff. So far the results have been good and I don't feel exhausted during the day. My concentration is good, actually better than it ever was. I sleep fairly well and no more bloating after eating.
So I'll continue with this till I reach my goal. I expect it will eventually slow down the closer I get to my goal weight, but I'll tackle that issue when it happens.
Take care and have an awesome day!
