NOOOOO! There are many MANY reasons for a 'bump' like that on the scale...none of which need cause discouragement! Salt intake up, 'that' time of the month, little or no BM, hormones, time of day of weighing, before or after a shower, etc...Hang in there my friend! You've got this!!💙🤗

Please don’t let 1 pound up discourage your progress, if you are working out you may have gained some muscle .
Instead of the scale to measure progress go by body composition
And how your clothes fit. If you stay in a 500 caloric deficit max it will drop. Keep your eye on the prize it’s not a sprint it’s a marathon
👍

As you exercise your muscles take in and store carbohydrates and water to help them repair. If you have started a bunch of new exercise this could be the culprit.
Try not to worry so much about those daily numbers. Make your plan and sticking to it overr time is where you will see results .
Eat your base calories! Your body needs those to run your essential organs. Eating too little and over exercising based on what fuel you have available could actually stall your metabolism. You need to feed that fire to keep it burning 🔥

This could also (most likely) be water weight

It's a long game. Make a reasonable plan, stick to it and you will succeed. Don't sweat the day to day little fluctuations; they will be there.

Thank you so much to all my supporters today. You all make good sense. It is very early in my weight loss journey and perhaps I have been weighing myself too often and expecting too much too soon. I plan to take the advice given and weigh myself only once a week.

Nah don't get discouraged; it's just a hiccup and CICO.

fluxes happen its better to look at the general trend than the day to day. The important part is that you keep pushing forward. it is about so much more than the scale. How are you feeling? What are your energy levels like? You got this. :D

Astra , I’m full of energy and still enjoying my walks. I think my minor gain was just body readjustment for some odd reason. However, I sure appreciate the support 🤗🇨🇦

It’s not about the weight! It’s about body composition. You could be putting on muscle.

1,065 calories mix
Approx.90 calories per meatloaf
1 pkg. Ground turkey 93/7
Onions/peppers w/ beef stock
1 large egg
1/3 and 1/4 cup oatmeal
Salt & pepper to taste
1/3 cup ketchup
3 tbsp. Tomato paste
Teaspoon of olive oil for tin
BAKE @375. 15 MINUTES
Dice your onions and peppers about a cup total.
Either saute them or I do them in the microwave with a few drops of water for about 3 minutes just to soften them up. Let them cool a little bit. Put them in the bowl with the ground turkey, one egg, the oatmeal, (I know the measurement was weird but I needed more so that's why I posted it that way) salt and pepper to taste and the ketchup, mix it all up. Let it rest for about 15 minutes. Take about two or three tablespoons of tomato paste, this is optional but I like them topped with little tomato paste. I also put a half a packet of Splenda to sweeten the paste up a little but you don't have to. Lightly spray your muffin cup, and measure out 2 oz in each muffin tin. Put a little bit of the tomato paste mix on top, put it in a preheated 375 convection oven... Or 400 degree regular oven, and cook 15 minutes, these are spectacular... ENJOY

I weigh myself every two days. The way for me is my clothing and my belt holes.

it's water weight. weighing yourself weekly instead is a better idea if you get discouraged from water fluctuations.
