same weight, the system keeps telling me I'm doing good... for not gaining I suppose. Well, I just joined another gym. My neighbor and I are about the same age and she has been going to Zumba classes, so I am going to go with her twice a week. I go with my husband to his Gold's Gym when he works with his trainer, I go get on the stationary bike. Maybe I should do more than just sit on that bike for an hour?? Oh I am peddling and working a program that is on the bike, but its really pretty easy to do. I am really hoping the Zumba class will stir up some calorie burns and make a difference. I also decided that twice a day (or more if I feel like it). I will do a "plank" and hold it for a minute each time. Then I thought that maybe during a show when the commercials come on I will get up and do some jumping jacks. I am starting today and will report daily on my progress. I am hoping that it might help keep me from eating in the evenings if I am exercising during commercials. I have to MOVE my body more that is for sure.

I was amazed at how many of us women battle with eating in the evenings. I guess that's when our day slows down and we can think about food. I'm going to see if thinking about exercise during commercials at night will work for me.

i think many of the stationary bikes have tougher settings, i.e. hills, etc. as well as adjustments to make for resistance. just keep moving up the resistance until it is no longer easy ... and you will start to sweat and get the burn on those calories! I also like your jumping jack idea - that's one way to wait out the commercials for sure. great idea. i am sure it will all work for you. good luck!

Lots of great ideas. That could be a lot of jumping jacks. You could switch to plank, situps... I need to improve recording my food daily, I will check in how your progress is going and cheer you on.

You are so right!!!! No one will ever call us quitters. Good job on the exercise front. I am doing well with food. I just need to figure out the exercise. Let me know when you are starting a challenge : )

meonadiet, that is a great idea.. I could switch up excise's to do during commercials. keep it interesting and diverse. so far im doing ok, I don't get up for every commercial but a lot of them. Hope I see a change in weight soon.

I'ts really all about the diet.. Just my thoughts but reduce them carbs to 130 grams or less a day and it will take care of itself..

Carbs are evil... they call to me all the time. I need to shut out their calls for sure. the exercise during commercials is going well... I started with 25 jumping jacks and now I'm creeping it up... not up to 50 yet but working on it. i also got up from my chair and did squats.. just stand up and go to sit down again...but don't.. up again.. I did too many the first day and my thighs were a little sore.. but seems to be helping me fit in exercise. The evening when we watch TV is the slow time for me, days are so busy.

Great job on the exercise. Good idea with the squats. That would get the thighs burning.

lost 3 lbs.. not much but a great improvement for me. being hypothyroid and menopausal doesn't help.. but 3 lbs is a good start.
