Exercise, Exercise, Exercise. I am hoping this isn't just a fluke, but I think I am back on track. Ran a mile Monday evening on treadmill, last night did Level I Shred, and then this morning did Level II Shred. So far so good.

Busy Memorial Weekend ahead. Planning a cookout and swimming in our pool. Then Sunday will be helping friend move. I just have to stay with workouts, keep eating right and keep moving the scales down. I want to be 159 before June 1. I am close. I just would love to say I start the summer out of the 160s.

Work weigh in went well. We have 3 more weigh-ins to go til June 10th final weigh in. My boss is at 11.31%, his wife 11.21% and I am at 11.41%. We are all sooooooo close. It is going to be a toss up til the end. I have TOM next week so have to follow FakePlasticLala advise to beat the TOM gain next week. I need at least a pound loss to stay in the running.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable Memorial Weekend!!! Stay fit, eat healthy, but still enjoy your time with family and friends. An most of all, be thankful for our Men and Women who sacrifice their life's so that we may all enjoy the freedoms we have here in America. Our service men/women are not thanked nearly enough. I was in a base area this past Friday. They were having a welcome home for one of the brigades. I took the time to visit and thank the ones I ran into on the elevator of the hotel. They really appreciated the simple words.

Awesome job! Your 11.41% is TRES inspiring!! And your words about our servicemen and women couldn't be more true. Freedom isn't free---and we should be proud and happy we have such strong, brave people in our country. Good luck over the weekend!!

Great work with the exercise. It does feel so good, doesn't it? I read somewhere once, You're never sorry when you went to the gym. Of course applies to any kind of exercise. And right on about Memorial Day. Important to remember why we have the holiday. It's not just an extra day for hot dog eating. (Though that is nice too. God I know hot dogs are awful but they just taste sooo good.)

Hmmm, hot dog does sound good too. Amazing that when my oldest was on the Ketogenic Diet for his seizures, that was a staple of his. While I am dieting, trying to avoid Fat, his diet for 2 years was 1050 calories, 4 parts fat, 1 part protein/carbs. He didn't gain or lose much stayed about the same during those 2 years. Today, hardly can get him to eat a hotdog. That was just an easy food to get lots of fat from. He ate the all beef hotdogs, usually the Nathan brand or Kosher ones, now we are back to Oscar Meyer. Also, he refuses to eat butter. Butter and corn oil, another staple in his diet along with high fat whipping cream (liquid). That was basically his milk, whipping cream mixed with the corn oil. Too hard to get him to eat pats of butter. Today, his pancakes, rolls, etc. he wants no butter or he won't eat it. He was 3-5 years old while on the diet, you just don't realize how much he was affected even at that age. Luckily, the greatest part, the diet worked and he became seizure free in two months and remains that way today, no medication even. That is part of why I figure I can avoid foods I no better to eat and get my weight in control. If a 3-5 year old could avoid eating sweets while all his daycare friends ate them, surely his mom can do the same :) He's truly my inspiration on this journey. What he went through and had to be so limited and restricted in his eating, was far more restricted then what I need to do to get my weight off :)
