Good Morning all!

I took some of your advice and bought myself a pedometer that also converts to activity minutes and a calorie count yesterday when I was at Walmart. I start wearing it yesterday at noon and by bedtime I had over 6000 steps recorded and I was being lazy yesterday (watched 2 movies).

Today will be my first full day wearing it and we will see what it records. I have a lot to do today, so their won't be any time to be lazy - what a bummer. Lol!

What is the protocol on wearing it when I am exercising? Do I take it off and count the activity separate or wear it as that counts to my final count.

I don't have to travel this week and am hoping to get in some elliptical runs and extra zumba in if I can. I have gotten back into watching Rachel Ray in the morning, so I thought instead of sitting on the couch, I would run on the elliptical during her show at 11:00-12:00.

I am trying to keep track of my points, but sometimes it is so hard to get to my kindle app to do it and then I think I forget things later when I do have time, but I am trying. I don't have a cell phone that takes apps. Doesn't matter anyway as I have no cell service at my house anyway at that is where I am most of the time.

Congrats on the getting yourself a pedometer! Can you keep a small notebook (where you keep your measurements and weight) and at the end of the day jot down the number of steps before going to bed? I keep mine in the bathroom. Else make a mental note...you need to work up to 10,000 steps daily so keep busy until you hit 10,000 steps, even if it is jogging on the spot or jumping jacks! I don't take mine off anytime, heehee last time i wanted to go to a wedding and got some dirty looks from my hubby which made me take it off, reluctantly! good job! forget apps, nothing is better than a small notebook and pen, and when you want to browse, the info on your progress is there and it's secret!
