kmartdollie's Journal, 23 Jan 22

I have lost 1 inch off of my bust, and 2 inches off of my hips. My favorite jeans are falling off of my hips. My darn belly won't budge, though, I haven't lost any off of it. I have a huge belly - it's not proportional at all, it looks like I am about 6 months pregnant. I have people ask me all the time when I'm due. My belly is 44". That's a lot of belly to lose. Even when I have had a lot less weight on me, my stomach has always been a stubborn problem. I haven't had a flat stomach since I was in high school. I really, really want to conquer this. I want the belly to melt. I know I may not end up a size 4 in a bikini, especially at almost 50 years old, but I really want to do something about it. I am definitely an apple, and the big belly is not good for my health, either. I am determined. It has got to go. I will make it go!

Kmartdollie. I just had an endoscopy. I found out I have a Hi hernia. I have always had a smal waist and no mid drift until I retired. The extra weight is one of the problems that causes the hi hernia Doctor nurse said walking was a good way to reduce the stomach and mid drift. Just repeting what I was told.

Interestingly, this is one of those areas that can be rather hereditary too. I know several women, (and some men, too) that have immediate family with the same 'problem areas' with abdominal fat being the most frequent one.

I’m exactly the same! Always have been. I’ve lost 10 lbs these last 6 months but not in my middle. I’ve just since the 1st of the year committed (and sticking to) an exercise routine - cardio 2x week, strength 2x week and a short flex/abs o e day. Hoping by March 1st I can measure the difference! (If not, a doc visit is probably the right choice).
