Please pray for Jim... His knee injury is severe - and he just got home from his third doctor's appt since it happened. Bad news today. The fluid build-up and swelling has left a nasty infection which is now on the move expanding thru all parts of his leg. The kneecap and sides of the knee is very hot to the touch. The doctor prescribed a heavy duty antibiotic in hopes to kill the infection. It has some awful side-effects and can constrict airways. Please pray for Jim's healing... I'm so concerned.

Hope all goes well. I'll keep him and you in my prayers. Who would have thought that a knock from a dog could do that much damage.

You've got that right. It's unbelievable! Both docs he saw today said the infection was BAD... the kind that result in amputation if prolonged. When Jim told him he had some antibiotic at home, and could he take that?-the doctor laughed saying that what he has on hand at home wouldn't even put a dent in that infection he's got...that he needed a "beast" of an antibiotic to help. It has some scary side effects, too. I'm so upset...

Wow Evie that is so scary. Will be saying prayers for Jim.

How scary! Will he be able to take the antibiotic at home or are they going to hospitalize him? Many prayers coming your way.

No Sandy, doc wrote him a new prescription of something mroe powerful - am on my way to get it filled. We are currently uninsured so I am dreading the cost like you would not believe! He will not be hospitalized, thank the Lord...but we'll wait to see what this 'beast' antibiotic delivers. Nurse cautioned him to tell everyone in his family that if his airway becomes constricted with its use to call 911 immediately. That's just what you want to hear when you're asked to pop some pills. :/

thank you ALL so much for your prayers and well-wishes. It means so much. Can you stinkin' beLIEVe all this happened from a massive head-butt from the DOG?! :) The doctor said it was caused by the fluids which began to form around the injury upon impact - this happens in effort to protect the joints...it's the body's healing mechanism to repair the damage. Usually it goes away on it's own. But somehow an infection settled in and has spread to the upper thigh and lower leg - his calf/shin is even swollen at this point. Thankfully he got it diagnosed right before the infection got into the blood stream. It is just in the tissue now, so hopefully the antibiotic will kick it in the boo-tay. We covet your continued prayers. And praise God I got the prescription for $4 at WalMart by going generic! YES!!

Evie - thank you for the continued updates. My family is praying for Jim, and you... may you be blanketed in His Peace. And Lord, we come into agreement, and ask for an immediate intervention and healing in Jim's leg, in every tissue, all infection be healed. In Jesus' Name! Much Love.

Evie I heard about a dog who kept bull dozing a families child down everytime she was on the swingset and the family felt they had to get rid of the dog before it hurt the child. The dog whisper said that in the dogs mind it felt the child was in danger and was trying to protect her by getting her out of harms way....Once they realized what was causing the odd behavior they were able to work on this. Praying for Jim and best wishes on figuring out what can be done about this strange behavior. TOWANDA!!!!!!
