I have stopped counting calories for over a month now, and while I am not much lighter, I am FAR happier. The vegan thing did not work out, I could not take the daily migraines. However, If I only eat when I am hungry, I generally stay well below my prior calorie limit. I buy healthy food, so its all I have to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner- unless I go out, which costs too much to do often as a student. Occasionally, I have bad weekends like everyone else. I get sick and don't want to cook or the game is on so we order pizza, but its been balancing out.

So what am I going to do to get to my weight loss goal? Now that I am happy in the diet part of my weight loss plan, I need to kick up the exercise portion. I hardly went to the gym at all in undergrad, but when I signed up for a 10k, I finally had a reason to get moving last month. After exercising 1-2x a week for a while, my body is craving the movement. I walked that 10k this weekend and it really inspired me. I realized in 2 hours I walked 6.2 miles, so in less than an hour I can run 3.1! I am signing up for a 5k race every Saturday for the next two months to get my butt out of bed and into a bikini this summer. Supporting my health and a local charity- what could be better?

This weekend is ACS RELAY FOR LIFE- so that's 12.5 laps around the track...
