Jackie_Snape80's Journal, 31 Mar 11

I think today went pretty well. Legs are sore from cycling class...and from the past few days of working out lol. I think I have my food planned out for the night. I went to the caf and got some stuff and resisted the temptation to get pancakes or a biscuit(breakfast night) I had some lentil soup and a few pieces of raw broccoli and I'm kinda full. I already logged the veggie burger, bun and extras for later tonight. This means that I'm going to have to eat it...ugh :S

I also got a blueberry muffin for a treat/snack later...but I don't think it's worth it even though I looove blueberries I might just make it my breakfast with some soymilk/protein powder tomorrow. I may have to stop myself from eating it, even though I hate wasting food. I don't think I can let myself eat something like that just yet

Anyways...body image progress today! I took a look at myself in the mirror and I thought to myself "I don't look that bad" It's not perfect, but it's not that bad. My arms are slimmer and more toned, my shoulders and neck can be seen and have definition, my back has less fat as well as acne(gross, I know...but, it happens sometimes). My legs/rear aren't perfectly smooth/toned, but they're so much better than they used to be. I still have belly fat, but I've lost so much of it...I never noticed. I kinda like seeing the sweat on my hair/neck and seeing my slightly flushed face after a good workout..it makes me feel accomplised.

I'm not sure how long this feeling will last. I wonder if this is how others see me. Have I just been blind? I don't know...I guess it doesn't matter as long as *I* start feeling this way more.

Good Girl Jackie!!! Have you noticed your mood is lifting as your calories are rising.......this is no coincidence.....your body feels better which sends happy signals to your brain and YOU feel better. You are doing a lot better with your calories and really could have treated yourself to your blueberry muffin, but it is fine to take little steps, at least you are now going in the right direction. Why don't you make Friday a treat day and have something you really love, even if you go above your 1200 calories - call it guilt free Friday. I hope your counselling goes well today - Keep strong........

I do feel a bit better, although I still don't want to think that it's the food. The weather is still getting me down a bit...I'm so sick of it being bipolar! >:S I'm trying to save my 'treat' for Saturday or Sunday. My mom's coming to get me, and we *might* go to this chinese buffet(she's going to try and stuff me, I know it). Usually I don't like buffets as the food is eh, and there's not much I can eat, but this place has an amazing sushi and fruit bar, as well as really good broccoli/mushrooms and the most amazing steamed buns ever! I may have to try to tell her not to take me there... Although the temptation to dive into a box of Reese's Pieces is pretty strong I can't believe that my appointment is less than 3 hours away.
