My son turned 2 y.o. last Friday and we took him to Chuck E Cheese. Then we threw party for him in our backyard on Saturday. So from dinner on Friday night through yesterday is a little hit or miss food recording wise. Obviously, I was worse than normal, but the one thing I had going for me was that Saturday was a planned cheat day. I know I wasn't too bad because I didn't feel sick, but it was a cheat day nonetheless.

Since my re-dedication 6 weeks ago, my stomach would get upset if I 1) over-ate or 2) too had too much junk. My stomach has shrunk and I think it has adjusted to my fruit/vegetable heavy consumption pattern. Also, I had zero alcohol for about 2 weeks.

Back to the weekend...We spent about three and half hours at Chuck E. Cheese and I think my wife and I had as much fun as he did. I hadn't been there in literally about 30 years. It was a blast. The food was terrible but the games were fun. My son had a ball in the plastic pipe maze and slide they have there.

On Saturday, the Bill o' Fare was typical backyard picnic food: Dogs, Burgers, Sausages, various salads, apps and Beers, etc. But there was also a ton of moving around. We couldn't do anything on Friday because we stayed too long at Chucks. I had already gotten the food a couple days before, but Saturday Morning was comprised (among other things) of cleaning up the kitchen vacuuming the carpets, putting up tables, chairs, and tents, and a last minute trip to the store. I also made a BLT dip. It was good, but I taste too much Neufchatel cheese. I'll cut that down next time. Well anyhow, I didn't have any breakfast because of the aforementioned running around. Then we had to set up my son's gift, before he woke up from his nap, which was his own Bouncy House. So the first thing I had all day was a chicken sausage around 2:00. The funny thing was that it wasn't my stomach telling me I was hungry, it was my head. I was getting dizzy, so I new my blood sugar was getting low.

It was worth it. The party went off without a hitch from there and he had a ball playing with his friends and cousins. They would go from the water table to the pool to the bouncy house, back to the pool...it was great.

Unfortunately now our fridge is packed with leftovers that I no longer typically eat. The good news is that football season is coming up and in two weeks I'll be planning tailgate menus for the UConn games. I have no doubt we'll get rid of it, but I'll have to freeze it in the meantime.
