They are so good! When I lived in London like 25 years ago I used to go down to the Portuguese area near Vauxhall to find them. It seems like all the coffee shops sell them these days but they are never very good. I save myself for the real deal 😋

I'm very pleased to see a Pastéis de Nata appear here - There is a mans type forum that I frequent that has an entire thread devoted to these lovelies. Mostly though it's robust critiques of many suppliers poor efforts of making them. Fortnums did some with red jam that was justifiably savaged by the readership.

Adpully, fully agree with your forum: properly made they are perfect. Mass produced or fancied up (pumpkin spice anyone?!) they are just trash.

Yep @Paula-Vieira should be allowed to torch any that have been made with faffed about recipes and the makers and directors should all be jailed.

Hi Try Try! I got this from our Saturday market in Gloucestershire, the family is Portuguese. I swear only Portuguese can make them properly !
