I have decided to go without sugar (sweets, candy, cookies, cakes etc.) for 30 days. I think I need to get away from all the sugar I eat.... I have eaten almost all the Easter candy I allowed myself to have... I'll finish it off tonight. Tomorrow I start my no sugar diet. I know there will be cravings but I'm hoping I can get past them without too much trouble. I'd like to loose about 5 pounds this month and I think I'll have more success if I cut out sugar.

wish me luck!

Getting off sugar was hard for me. It took a while but I kept at it even when caved in from time to time. I kept a large portion of fruits & nuts which really helped me tremendously. After eating natural sugar for a while, my body start rejecting the process sugary foods. I would get instant headaches, & some dizziness right after eating processed sugar. It's truly amazing how the body can reject the very foods I used to crave so much for.

it has been rough... but I've done ok so far... I used to eat very little sugar but somehow, over time, I started eating way too much.... I have been eating more fruits to compensate for my sweet craving. Thanks so much for your comment!

Sugar is so hard on our bodies and it is hard to get away from it. But the rewards are many once you do. If I have sugar in excess I get what I call sugar bags the next day, I look in the mirror and think OMG. That is inspiration to stay away from it all together. After the initial detoxing/cravings that our bodies go through, it is as Pking says, our bodies tend to reject it. We just do not feel good. You have a plan so you are on top of it. Good luck
