THIRTEEN DAYS UNTIL SPRING

HAPPY FAT TUESDAY!! and what a lovely morning it is, sun out brightly, winds are calm and birds are enjoying a nice morning breakfast on the deck.

I have been doing this nice little routine in the morning before I have my breakfast and also before I go to bed. I do walking in place, started at 100 steps and I am now up to 300 steps with arm swings. I follow that up with isometrics for about 5 minutes. Wakes up my metabolism in the morning and helps me relax before going to bed. I have also incorporated fast walking around the office about 3 laps and do as often as I can depending on what I have going on. I just hold a piece of paper in my hand and everybody thinks I am off to some meeting or to talk to someone about something. I don't think anybody has really noticed yet. Can't wait until the weather is just a bit warmer and I can incorporate a 15 minute power walk during lunch and maybe again in the afternoon.

Gotta refill the coffee mug and cruise around here for a bit then off to the office. Hope you all have a great day!

You're amazing! I think I'd make people nervous if I walked around the office... besides the fact that I'd have to walk past my bosses' offices and I'm confident they'd notice... they'd be wondering why I keep walking by! LOL

@Brandy, maybe you could hit a stairwell? I just meander around the maze of cubicals and I can easily avoid my bosses office. I also park at the bottom of the parking garage and take the stairs as opposed to elevator up. Park at the far end of the parking lot at the market. Just try to be creative, you can probably think of a few ways to get in more steps.

@Lisa, had to celebrate fat tuesday today, broiled catfish, collard greens, grits for lunch w/very tiny piece of cake. Dinner is going to be babyback ribs, more greens and a little boiled potato. Probably not how I would normally eat, but calories are within daily range and I don't feel like I went overboard but do feel like I didn't deprive myself either. Big happy hour tonight after work which I passed on.
