I had a carrot this morning. I was quite amazed how how good a carrot can taste. I've long held the belief that by eating junk food we desensitize our taste buds, so therefore no longer take pleasure in simple foods. That's why we get addicted to processed, b/c companies have introduced vast amounts of salt, fat and chemicals to make your brain want more. That Lays' commercial, '' you can't have just one.'' Well, it's true. And it's intended.
Except for this winter, I've been basically eating natural foods, and I think it's the only way to cut cravings. I just know now that I ate too much of it. Or in the bad proportions (too many carbs) I had to wean myself off of junk food.
Sincerely, that carrot was way good this morning. Not to say that it beats a Snickers or Mars bar, but those won't get me closer to my goal.
