another day and night yesterday of constant migraine medications and just eating whatever "crap" was around. I even had pizza last night. I am a bit worried about the scale tomorrow because my migraines prevent me from being normal and preparing and cooking foods. ITs literally trying to get carbs in me because after all the meds I am so nauseas. The good news is I finally slept last night and so far so good on the migraines. I called to get into the new neurologist I was referred to but they said they can't get me in until July 28! I told them that would not work for me so I requested a new referral. Praying I can at least get 2 days in a row migraine free.. just for a break. About to do breakfast (if anyone likes tapioca pudding..this is pretty good) 1 part chia seeds, two parts vanilla almond milk with dash of cinnamon and hand full of raisins... stir with a spoon literally for about 6 minutes (or until thick like a pudding) It tastes great and is packed with protein, calcium, iron, magnesium, and fiber. Hope everyone has a great day!

I'm so sorry about your migraines. I have gotten them and luckily that migraine medicine works for me or I go to the chiropractor. I really hope you get some relief soon.

thanks.. I have had them since I was 5, but in recent years they have gotten so bad (especially after my last car accident) that I am going thru about a bottle of excedrin a week. The triptans don't work for me and neither do pain killers. I have been on the same preventative (Inderal) for nearly ten years and it just isn't working as strong anymore. Ugh! Hopefully they can get them back under control :)

have you heard about botox for treating migraines? I never investigated it but I heard that it is successful.

Hope you are feeling MUCH better VERY soon. Do certain foods trigger the migraines. I do not know much about these other than within a context that meant lots of missed school days for my former students. These kids seemed so miserable. Take care.

I use Topamax and Zomig. Ones a meltable for when the aura is too short for the pill to work, the other is a pill. Do you get auras? Do they last very long? I'm just wondering if there was anyway you could maybe do a food prep (pre-freeze) for foods that are quickly microwaved when you are ill, rather than relying on pizza. Not that there is anything wrong with it, I just find the food makes me sicker sometimes.

thanks everyone..I have had them since I was 5 and missed tons of school and now work. I tried topamax as a preventative, but that gave me pins & needles in my hands, feet and face so we went back to the inderal. I have tried zomig, along with other triptans (Maxalt, relpax, imitrex)and they haven't worked. I haven't tried the botox, I have started reading more into it lately. I get trigger point injections and greater occipital nerve blocks (which I need to get back in for, but I can't have aspirin within 5 days before the procedure which is nearly impossible for me lol) And you are totally right I need to have a migraine free weekend and prepare meals and snacks so its easier...its just a try to get breads in my because I am so sick from the aspirin. But hopefully it'll get better. I have auras but not all the time. My migraines last anywhere from a few hours to over a week at times (with no break, but a nicel long trip to the ER for diladid)
