So... I guess today I'm not going to worry too much about intake. I had my IUD inserted this morning and I'm comforting myself a little. That and I wanted to eat up some of the leftovers in the fridge. IE mac and cheese.

IUD went as good as expected. I think I know what it feels like to be kicked in the balls now. Not too pleasant on the input. On the plus side I feel decent now. Good enough to be at work. It probably doesn't feel worse than normal cramps. Just not used to those at all! So I'm a total wuss when it comes to cramps.

Just a little too much info.

Don't read it if you're going to be offended by the second line, Calabash. Kziemianski, I'm so happy to hear everything went OK! How long did the pain last for? Did they give you any meds to help deal with it, or just advise that you take ibuprophen? Hope you're feeling better soon, hun! Fingers crossed everything works out :D

I am actually thinking about getting an IUD and no one I know has them so I would like to know the answers to Tubbs questions lol.. Glad everything went OK and hopefully the cramping passes fast.

I don't think it's too much info, Calabash! I love my IUD. Especially now that I have had it for over 6 months and hardly ever get my period. It was hard managing eating right and the crazy hormones I was putting in my body while being on the pill. It wasn't a bad procedure either. Just take some ibuprofen right before and you will be okay. It's like a quick pinch and then a cramp. Some women don't even feel that!

OMG thank you, Jenlytle!! It's awesome to hear that someone had a great experience with it---I'm on the pill and have been thinking lately that I'm not comfortable with the extra junk in it. Plus I have a horrible memory and forget to take it some days!! Did you gain any weight when you got your IUD?

I just re-read that a bunch of times and didn't see too much info. LOL To each their own I guess. The initial pain went away as soon as the procedure was done. Then I felt almost normal (other than slight cramps) after about a half hour. I just took about 800 miligrams on ibuprofen before hand. Jenlytle, do you have paragard or mirena? I'm wondering if I should be excited for my periods to go away.

That's awesome that you're doing so well, pain wise :) Ooh yes, Jenlytle, tell us more...is your cycle on a normal schedule (do you know exactly what day to expect your period) ?
