mgrill's Journal, 09 Jun 14

Had a nice weekend. I was able to get to the gym on Saturday (which usually doesn't happen) and complete day 6 of the 21-day challenge I'm on. Workout for that day was your choice of cardio for a minimum of 45 minutes. So, I hopped on the treadmill and eek'd out 4.1 miles. Very comfortable jog (and still made it back up the hill to pick up my son from his ballet class before it was over).

Sort of feeling melancholy lately. Husband has been wonderful in asking how he can help, but there really isn't much any one can do. There's just a lot going on everyday in managing a household, family, full time work, etc. My mind never really shuts down. Hence why I won't give up my lunch hour workouts. That seems to be the only time I get to just turn off the world.

Still, I can't complain. Busy doesn't equate to bad. Life is going good.

I am glad you find some peace and calm in your afternoon workouts. I also completely relate about my mind taking a break. I think it is worst when I am in the shower. It is like I suddenly remember tons of stuff I need to do and I really wish I wasn't soaking wet so I could write them all down. Lol
