week 2 Keto is hard 😭😭😭 I've so far had 1TBS of potatoes 🙈🙈 ...please tell me this is harmful because I might just go to 2T and then the rest will be history. lie if you must

I can't lie. Keto is hard, maybe try to remain slightly below your calories for a deficit if the lifestyle doesnt work for you.

If it fits within your calories. Why not? Do what is easiest for you. That way, you don’t end up binging down the line. Keto is great. But if you can’t maintain that lifestyle. I suggest you eat what you love in a caloric deficit. It’s torture, obsessing over food all the time. I know how you feel. Or you can stick it out. Once you’re fat adapted, you won’t crave carbs. Or you might still crave it 🤷🏻‍♀️ we have to try everything and see if it works. It’s not one size fit all. Good luck with the potato dilemma 🤗

in my opinion, keto should be q last resort and if done, with the help if a nutritionist. first just start calory counting and beware the olive oil. if that doesn't give you results. then maybe try keto. potatoes are extremely good for you and actually for weightloss as well. just don't eat it with salt. fat and oils.

As a medical professional I can’t stress the importance of consulting your doctor before or at least whilst doing keto. It is very tough on your body personally I’m not a fan of this type of dieting, rather try a modified keto diet it’s less taxing

I wasn't hungry and have been eating balanced and filling meals. It's just that looking ar potatoes feels sinful right now because I know how good they taste. My plan is to gradually reintroduce complex carbs in week 3 or 4, this is more of a kickstart and about learning to cook without/less carbs. Dont worry I will never starve myself but i think the moment of weakness came from body aches i was feeling and wanted comfort.

Rather do low carb because that allows more carbs.

You know personally I did a keto diet and i picked up weight. Cutting carbs out completely isn’t very healthy. When I spoke to my doctor he told me not to do the keto. Ever since I’ve been doing the calorie deficit and started being more active I’ve been loosing consistently around 1kg a week. I only cut out unnecessary carbs like chocolate and Simba chips, sweets and coke. It’s making all the difference.

Whatever works and as long as it is healthy. I'm very happy right now, the reflux and bloating have basically gone away so I must be doing something right.
