Ruhu's Journal, 21 May 14

Hump day! I'm already thinking about the long weekend ahead & ATF as I do not want a repeat of last weekend, but I know I must take this one day, today, at a time, as well as each one day of the long weekend ahead at a time. And, I can break it down into one meal or moment or bite if needed. As an Angel wisely suggested, I'll choose to look at this weekend as an opportunity to use the mindful eating skills I've been working so hard on and fake a "bring it on" attitude until I truly feel it. Plus, I know I have many weekend warriors out there with me!

Today, I'm off to my workout & have coffee with one of my 2 really special IRL friends this afternoon. It's busy season at work & after being away, I spent quite a bit of time there yesterday & brought home quite a bit more to do from here. So, with month end approaching, I have much book work to keep me busy too.

But, before I get on to my day, I'll pray --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

And, for this one day and each one meal, moment, bite, thought & emotion, I'll pray, breathe, log, journal & express my way. I'm so grateful for each of spectacular you, my family & IRL friends, bulletproof coffee, more coffee with a good friend bullet-free, the ability to re-frame my upcoming long weekend to be an opportunity to learn & grow, and having the health & wealth to live this life I love! xoxox

How about thinking about the weekend when it gets here and just enjoy today ~ never trouble trouble until trouble troubles you. Then pull out your bag of tools and trouble will depart :-)

However you approach the weekend, PMA (positive mental attitude), goes a long way towards success. The more I think about it, the more I like DarleneW101's quote from Karen Salmonsohn..."If you want to be sad, live in the past. If you want to be anxious, live in the future. WOW, they said it !!!! Just remember one thing, only we can change what happens. This weekend will be great for both of us. It is all about a Lifestyle change, not what can I not eat today. You are going to do great so try not to worry. We Got This !!!!!!!
