I'm starting to wonder about the amount of calories i've been eating a day. I've been eating around 1400-1600 average. Just not seeing significant weight loss i'd hoped to see with cutting so many calories and adding in exercise.

I got to looking around on the internet and all the recomendations i've found say i should be eating 2600-3000 cal a day. This sounds like such a large amount to me. Trying to decide if I should try upping my calorie intake or if I should stick out my lower cal one and hope for results.

The fact that I feel like i'm starving all the time may be a good reason to try upping them...but I dont want to gain any weight back that i've fought so hard to lose.

Any suggestions?

I really wish I had an answer... I'm thinking the same thing for me (although, my calories are up about 1800-2000/day), but I know that I just lose weight slowly, especially since I don't have the time to accomodate in a ton of time right now to exercise.

Slow and steady wins the race! Its about long time weight loss. I eat around 15-1600 and am losing weight slowly also. I expect my weight loss to either get slower or cease completely as I start training this spring and summer for a 15k. There are days that I am not that hungry and eat less and at least once a week I try to eat 1800-2000. Its usually a day we go out to eat. I still log the food that day and try to go to a restaurant that is on fat secret.
