Insurance physical and doctor appointment done! TGIF!!!!! The physical went great, they told me I'm healthy and my numbers are all great which is awesome. My doctor was happy with how I'm doing, but told me he thinks I should wear knee braces when I work out. Just the OTC kind that slip on, so I'm going to look for those this weekend. He said he's glad I'm working out and my arthritis is irreversible, so just exercise and do what I can until I can't go anymore. I'm good with that. I don't have to go back to see him until next year, unless I have problems before then. Yippee!

Having watched my grandma deal with crippling arthritis, I know that I need to appreciate the time I have and do what I can to be healthy now because later I don't want to be confined to a wheelchair and think "if only I'd gotten off the couch more", or "I wish I would have done that 5K (or other event)". That won't be me. It really makes me think about how silly I am to worry about how my body looks, when I should be thinking about how my body functions. If I feed it well and move it, it will serve me well and last longer. I just need to keep remembering that.

In other news, it's volleyball practice tonight right after work, so no workout, then off to pick up my Mom's dog because we're dogsitting this weekend. Tomorrow morning is a volleyball game, then nothing to do, so workouts for sure this weekend. And I am going to look up some good crockpot recipes for those nights we have baseball. It's going to be a nice, slow, relaxing weekend. Ahhhhhhh.....
