On the road for 5 days. Eating all meals out. I did pack a cooler with safe food to eat. I have lunch from the "box". Breakfsst is eggs with ham and no toast. Dinner has been a steak and safe vegetables.
I talked to a friend before I left and she saw a diet dr. that is a cardiologist. His food plan it eggs for breakfast and 6 oz of meat (beef, chicken, fish) for lunch and dinner. No flour, rice sugar etc. all the "safe vegetables" you want. She lost 20 lbs in 6 weeks and has keep it off pretty good, eventhough she was layed up with surgery.
I am doing the same. I can't wait to get home and weigh myself.

When I see gooey sweets etc, I say--ick, I would never eat that stuff. It is bad for you. So far so good

got a cheap fat, muscle, BMI gadget. Not happy with it. I think I will get the good scale that is more reliable when I get home.

I enjoy hearing your plans to stay on track! They are inspiring! What your friend suggested sounds quite a bit like the Atkins diet, just without the induction phase (where for the first few weeks you're not supposed to have any fruits or veggies). Good luck! Let us know how it goes
