As a general rule, Never Ever tell a work-comp doctor about other things you did in your life (like deep stone massage, acupuncture, sports activities, etc.). The (quack) doctor's job is to pin the fault on you and then minimally treat you, so as to get you to come back regularly for more treatments ($$$). Check with your HR department to see if you are allowed to see your own doctor, and then they can just submit the claim for reimbursement to your work. Your doctor is not looking to place blame, and they will treat you fully to make you better, not drag out the visits with only half-assed treatments.

Your're so right I gave out too much information 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ thanks for the advice and yes I did check with hr they said yes they will accept my own dr notes. Getting a 2nd opinion tomorrow see if they will do an mri which they taking forever to do through workers comp.

Also -- and VERY importantly -- when you fill out those family history sections in the Workers Comp paperwork (usually in the waiting room), do NOT disclose anything. Unlike your own doctor's office, everything you disclose to a workers comp doctor can and will be used against you -- even yours and your family's health history. Just leave those sections blank or claim "unknown."

Yeah those workmans comp and car accident docs don't want to get very involved! They don't want to have to go to court either. I don't blame them but then the patient's health ought to be priority #1! I found my own doc that I sought out was a bit dismissive because of that. But mine was MVA and maybe they are different because the potential to go to court is more likely when it's an MVA. Regardless, I wish you well! It's always a huge hassle on top of your pain!
