Steady weight today after having pizza at friends Only had 1 lrg slice but logged as 2 due to size. Generally would put me in a tizz but calories still came in under my RDI. Went off keto mainly due to getting depressed and not happy. Decided on clean way of eating. Also this might sound ridiculous but didn’t like adding additional fats to bring up my fat count. Really missed my fruits and some veggies such as spaghetti squash, turnips etc are higher in carbs making it difficult to maintain my carbs to 10% with most times it would end up at 20/30% as a failure. Didn’t make sense why some veggies are so high in carbs while still not eating and potatoes, rice or bread. Even strawberries were high in carbs knocking me out of ketosis. The depression this was causing me I believe would have set me up for failure again. So here I go again trying to find my happy place. Like my veggies and meat !! Will continue to log all my foods. Here’s hoping

Maybe just try calories eaten vs. calories burned? If you eat less than you burn, you will lose. Flexible diet.

You gotta do what works for you! I loosely follow CICO but do watch carbs and fat.

Don't be hard on yourself. You haven't failed. You are just trying to find what works best. I find keeping the things I like most around me helps. When I go over someone's house I pack the things I will eat. They even have some great Keto pizzas you can create so next time you can bring yours loaded with the meat, veggies and cheese you like on it. I'm going to experiment with this. I just started experimenting with monk fruit which has a zero glycemic index and made a delicious fat bomb that tasted like a Reeses and made one with unsweetened coconut flakes that was delicious. Now everyone at the house wants me to make more.

Keto is not for everyone and is not necessary for weight loss. I practice CICO and eat a very varied diet. I never feel denied or stressed. I have nothing against keto diets. I enjoy a keto breakfast several days a week myself. I try to eat a fair amount of protein in each meal to offset eating so many carbs and fats. Good luck in your choices!!!
