Oh so glad to be home. We got in late yesterday. Weather was horrible. We pulled into Ft Worth at 1 am. The storm hit at 3 am. We didn't get animals unloaded til 1 pm. The line was super long for unloading the steers and pigs. When the storm hit, the shut down everyone being able to unload and didn't allow until the next morning at 7:30. Burned a 1/4 tank of gas sitting in line.

Nathan's steer didn't make the sale, got away from him in the ring. Was super cold but somehow everyone had a great time despite everything. I have not weighed and hoping the scales didn't go up. We never are able to eat normal at these events. I will be happy with no gain and being the same weight this week. Didn't walk as much as wanted to, too cold and grounds too slick. My body feels like it worked out hard becuase of the tension of walking and driving on ice. Took us 5 hours to get home yesterday, normally 2 1/2 hour drive. Drove like 30 all the way. Passed many of people in the ditches so preferred to drive slow and make it home, then try to pick up speed and wreck.

Passed two charter busses that were coming up for Super Bowl (had to fly into Houston) and some people behind us said they later ended up in the ditch when they hit 287. I can't begin to count the number of wrecks.

Got home to our well being frozen. It is 1:30 pm almost and still no water. Need to get laundry done as we leave Wednesday for a show down in San Antonio. Oh the joys of livestock showing.

Nathan has a heifer he will show there on Thursday (Sweetheart) then we have a few weeks off before the Houston Stock Show starts!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know I am still around!
