I was wondering if it's a bad thing if I start out small with a small loss then change it as I get to that goal each time until i get to where i want to be?

If that’s the easiest way for you to motivate yourself, I don’t see the problem. Big goals can be intimidating and it’s a lot easier to feel proud of yourself when you reach a few smaller goals rather than one big one. Keeps the momentum going.

Thank You!!! I was not sure if it would be a good idea but I'm going to start small then go bigger as I lose the weight

On FS I put my actual goal, I have smaller goal on another app. I use the smaller goal for tracking 10% of weight incremental losses.
