Motivation is very important. Some people just want to look pretty, some want to be just healthy to live longer. But all this is "Dunya" desires and you will eventually give up as soon as Dunya changes.
But from my experience the best motivation really comes when your goal is to please Allah. This will never change, and you will be motivated even when you feel low, because you know that Allah is fair.
How? When you, as a Muslim, look healthy, you glorify Islam in the eyes of people. Don't you want to be a good representative of Islam? The prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) also said that the stronger Muslim is dearer to Allah than the weak Muslim (and there is good in both).
Additionally, eating unhealthy is a sin as it wastes your money, and ruins your health. Allah in Quran Has commanded us to not throw ourselves into destruction
Allah will ask us in the day of judgement about every resource we had, and how we spent it. Do you want Allah to be displeased of your wastes? Or do you want Allah be please of your efficient allocation of resources to do more good things such as glorifying His religion in the eyes of people?
