WHERE'S MY MOJO!!?
It's been 2 weeks since I've made an entry. The first week was really in the toilet. The second week not so bad and improving. Made it through a Friday night on the straight and narrow so I'm striving for good coming week. Honestly I need to log onto my Drunk Secret to really get my act together. One week is easy...reward the mind with too much to drink on Friday, which turns into Saturday and usually Sunday too and then spend a week pulling myself together again. And man does that drink kill any desire or motivation to eat well and be healthy. I'm closing in on a week booze free and I sure feel better. But I still really had to work at staying clean last night. It just sounds so much easier to go have a beer and a shot after work at the end of the week than go for walk...especially in the rain. Like a lot of things though the hardest part is getting started. Within the first 5 minutes I was really enjoying the walk, almost as much as the dog :), and killed any desire to drink. So this morning I'm feeling good and ready for another day. No doubt there will be similar demons to kill tonight it's Saturday night and all, but I'm already planning my evening walk/hike to keep the body moving when the mind cries drinking. I also have a goal of hiking the Wonderland Trail around the base of Mt. Rainier at the end of summer, sent in reservation request Friday...keep my eye on the prize.
Wow awfully chatty today. Hope my enthusiasm is more than a flash in the pan.
