I am curious how this works. If I have a Net of -1206 My green Kcal is 2754 and my red kcal is 1548 what do I need to do? Exercise more? eat less? I am confused about the calculations. Do I have a chance at loosing weight with these numbers? My RDI says 53%. Can anyone please explain. Keep in mind I don't get it so if you can make it easier for me to understand. I am not simple minded, I am pretty sure that just hearing it from someone else is all I need in order to make since out of it. Thank you.

Healthy weight loss is considered half a pound to 2lbs a week, if I'm remembering correctly. There are 3500 kcals in a pound. So if you are shooting to shed a pound a week you would want to have a -500 average a day (500 times 7 is 3500). So for someone like me who has a projected rdi of aroubd 1750 befor exercise my calory intake is 1250 to hopefully shed at least a poubd a week. Generally your normal daily intake shouldn't drop below 1200. However, at 1548 calories a day your intake is more then enough to ensure proper nutrients. So even though your numbers are above the technical healthy weight loss at more then 3lbs a week projected I would stick to it if you are comfortable and not getting hungry or risking binging. Persionally Id stick where you are and see how things go for a bit. Atm I am suspecting my projected rdi is lower them my real rdi as I've been loosing more then a pound a week. So I may be adjusting soon. See how your loss goes and adjust your caloric intake appropriately after a few weeks..

Question, where did you calculate your RDI? This website always puts me down for at least 300 calories more than what I need to actually lose weight. For me, I have to eat 1200 calories or less for weight loss as compared to the 1500 and 1800 it has recommended for me in the past. Calyn is corrected in you have to be negative 500 calories per day to lose 2 pounds a week.

Meant to say at least negative 500 calories to lose 1-2 pounds per week
