Hi Cynthia, what do you do when you want to start cooking with them? Do you have to cut off the little roots to get them out or will they pull out with the roots as well?

My mom and I are growing them. Got them on Amazon around $12. I've read to take off roots. Stir-fry most everything in your meal before adding sprouts, they take at most 3-4min.

The mung beans are also online. They come in different sizes. I used 1/8 cup beans for each layer and they are still very crowded. Will use less next time so they can grow longer.

Found out daylight makes them bitter. That's why the more expensive models have an elastic dark cover around the sides. Good luck
