well good for you for tracking it and acknowledging it. one way to really grow on this journey is just 100% honesty in your tracking. no use only logging the good days ms pretending the bad days didn't happen... and now you know how good those brownies are, so you can prepare yourself next time and fit them in. I always always log the bad days. often it turns out that what I thought was a disaster was a mere blip and not a big effort to correct so job well done for your honesty to yourself. that on its own can be a hard thing to face up to and overcome (writing this with a belly full of nuggets and milkshake 😂😂😂)

Thanks Shereen... My first instinct was just to go "balls to the wall" and not to log it but you are right.. Self honesty is crucial. There will be not so good days and that's OK too. Note to self I will just not be buying those brownies again, moderation is not my strong point 😂

Haha, love these comments. I am definitely not feeling so awful this morning about it. Also, I am still very much still in ketosis! Never considered rice cakes and peanut butter! Do occasionally have the Oh MEGA Almond nut butter which is amazeballs but also the trick is some kind of moderation!

Hi Taryn. I get my carb clever ice cream from Woolies. They come in the cutest little containers and it’s 4 in a pack. I think one container is just under 100 calories (but it somewhere around here). They also have fantastic flavours. My favourite are the chocolate and coffee ones. I think there is also vanilla and chai. They’re around R45 for the 4, and it’s totally worth it especially if you like a treat on those hot days 🍦 ☀️

Hi Taryn. I stayed away from all these little snacks for a long time because I could not control myself. I am not saying that I can, but I think that I am better at it. I also bought Woolies icecream. I bought 1 little container at a time, not a pack of four and I shared the 2 flavors over 2 nights with my husband and Ultramel zero custard, only 125ml. Tantalize sugar free custard is also not too bad with 125ml zero custard. I try to do it all in moderation. I got a tip from another lady on here a while ago. Log all the food and meals you are planning for the day. I log my sugar free desert with my supper. I think rethink, replan my grams for whatever I am having. I have also tried zig zag calories, where somedays are much higher than others and I have slowly upped my calories and I have maintained my weight for a few months now, which has been very difficult for me, as in the past whenever I would lose, I would gain it all back again. I am struggling with my last w
few kilograms, but I am not giving up. Also what helps me is a nice quick 5km walk before supper. I hope you find your sweet spot that works for you while losing weight. Good luck!

Ohh lots to try there too! Thank you. I like the idea of a sweet spot.. I had it in my mind that I would stay totally away from sweet things but I am not sure that is doable. Moderating in some form is the way

this is where keto and banting misses the mark completely. if you eat in a caloric surplus you are going to gain weight regardless of wether you are in ketosis or not. No diet model can break the laws of thermodynamics

Yep. 100% spot on.. This weekend for me proves it. It's mathematics! Keto with the deficit is what works. Also, if I eat too much processed food as opposed to veg for my net carbs my body doesn't like it.
