You have been added to my prayers. It's tough. I've never personally had to "quit", but I watched my mom do it. If she can do it, ANYONE can. She still has moments where she would like to smoke one so big a tripod would have to help hold it. I started to pick up smoking when my husband and I first married. He didn't like seeing me smoke, so he asked me to stop. I'm so glad he did before I became addicted. My dad quit smoking too, but he started back. Today would have been his 67th birthday. He died 2 days after his 54th birthday from lung cancer. :( I don't believe everyone who smokes will get lung cancer, but it was definitely in our family genes, as my paternal grandfather died from lung cancer in 1990 in his 70's. Hang in there sweetie. The end result will be SO worth it.
