Started Nutrisystem foods today. They finally came in the mail. Already I am disappointed. The portions are so small. I suppose I will get used to it, but for as much money as I pay I expected more food. They expect me to go buy all this other food for "snacks" on top of the miniscule portions of food they sent. I hope I get used to this soon because I am rather dissapointed after reading all the positive reviews of not being hungry.

Yes, it will take getting a little used to but if you follow the plan you should not get hungry. However if you're on plan today it doesn't look as if you're actually following it properly. The waffles you ate were not an acceptable breakfast substitute with Nutrisystem as they lacked protein. That will leave you feeling very hungry. I also don't see a protein logged at breakfast time or fruit. For lunch you're missing the bun (or any other low glycemic carb serving) for your hotdog. As a man I believe you also have additional carb servings you're supposed to be eating and are missing so far for yoru day and no veggies listed with lunch. You need to make sure you eat your 2 servings of veggies (1/2 cup each) with both lunch and dinner. No wonder you're hungry. :)

I agree with sherilyn - get out your meal planner and try to follow it 100% for a while. Guys should be averaging around 1500-1700 calories a day, and I'm right around 1550 since the beginning of January. You shouldn't have many days below 1300 at all, so eat, eat, eat what they tell you to eat! Every one of those calories belong to you, so go out there and get them!

I just figured out what the proteins are and found the back of the meal planner book that describes everything. I really only started my diet today since I go the food on Saturday. I am a girl though so I am at lower calories I think. I have been sticking to 1400 which is sedentary calories for Fat Secret. If I have to get more carbs then I need to go shopping again. I cleared my whole fridge out of bad food, to include my bread and buns. I bought yogurt, eggs, veggies, but many of the choices in the book are not my cup of tea. I did better today by eating all the Nutrisystem meals, dairy, and protein. I just bought veggies so tomorrow will be better at lunch. Thanks for the advice.

One of the things about NS is the portions they serve is what a portion is supposed to be. Our perception of a portion size is way off. That is one of the things I got out of NS. Good Luck!

Yep, I definately have to learn to rethink portions then. I have been eating to much if nutrisystem is regular portions on packages. When is the last time anyone actually measured a half or quarter cup of cereal that is the serving on the box?
