Janelleas's Journal, 02 Feb 09

DIET: Super Bowl day was a little out of our control. I drank a margarita to be polite (honestly). The hostess insisted I had to try her famous marguerita, but they are so full of sugar. I had one and then switched to wine and had 3 glasses of wine. I ate shrimp mostly so that wasn't too bad but then I did eat all the bad stuff too (in small portions), salami, cheese ball, crackers.. I did not eat chicken wings.

Today I am back on track.

EXERCISE: I had to do all my Super Bowl challenge exercises today. 27 lunges, 81 jumping jacks and 54 push ups. I am wondering if I will feel sore tomorrow. I also did a really good walk on the treadmill. I set the incline to the higest now so I really felt the difference but went a little slower. It felt like more of a workout.

LIFE AND FUN: While at Super Bowl party my hostess thought it would be fun to join me in exercising when the opposing team scored, but they have two of the cutest little dogs you would ever want to see. Seems the two dogs thought us getting down on the floor to exercise was "play time". While I was doing my push-up's I had one dog on each side of me licking the sides of my face and ears each time I moved downward. when we tried jumping jacks they rean around and barked at us like we should pick them up... so I decided I would exercise when I got home this next morning.

SUPERBOWL:
Even though my cardinals lost, I still won the bet I made on them because of the seven point spread. I will go collect my money this Sunday. Im okay with the Steeler's winning, I thought they probably were the better and more deserving team anyway and they did set a new record with SIX super bowl wins. I just thought it would have been real nice if the cardinal's not only made it to the super bowl, but got the rings too! It was a nice challenge that ImLuuvd created and I hope Im not sore tomorrow.

LOL about the dogs 'helping' you with your excercise! Sounds like you had a blast at the party, and are now working it off. Sorry about your Cardinals! They sure had the Steelers worried for a bit towards the end! Maybe next year....

My dogs do the same thing. Trust me, it's only cute the first time. I think we all had a few treats this weekend. Time to get back on track!

What a great workout you got! You better be sore tomorrow!, lol. My beast likes to sit on me whenever I get down on the floor to do sit ups. Sometimes when I am doing lunges, I will cheat and lean on him to keep my balance. Makes him feel important.

The dogs sound just like my kids! lol. Everytime I get in the floor to do push-ups or sit ups, they think it is playtime, tickle time, back ride time, ect...although, trying to do them with a 30 lb 2 year old on my back, definitely ups the intensity! :)

No pain today! Maybe just a tiny slight bit in the upper arms near the shoulder but not enough to notice unless I am really lifting or pushing something heavy (that doesn't happen much around here). The Super bowl payoff of exercise didn't bother me much so maybe that means I am in much better shape than I thought. I exercise a lot at night in front of tv but never journal it here because it is always in such small bit's and pieces through out the day that I don't know how to count it. I can see a difference in my body, even though I do have more weight to lose. I feel good today but have lots of little chores calling me.

Well it is the actual activitiy that counts not huge long durations. That is why a lot of the step programs work. Good for you!

Hey Janelle, thanks for your support. You see, everything is just peachy again today (tomorrow may see yellow again, things seem to have gotten a little hectic but, not really). :-)

Wow! I didn't realize that you had that much exercise riding on the game! I am glad you didn't hurt yourself! The Cardinals gave it their best shot -- huh! Your social life is colorful and interesting. I can tell you have a vibrant group of friends whose company you enjoy. But such an active social life certainly presents you with lots of temptations too - huh! Keep that will power. Pull it out when you need it -- okay? Okay!
