Hahaha! I am curious, but will wait until someone else tries it. Nope, not gonna be the first one... especially with family around. This reminds me of something else I heard. It is about pressure points and how you can relieve a hunger urge if you gently squeeze your earlobe. Although it is less embarrassing, I still haven't tried it. I bet it is more of a method to trick your mind into believing a particular action makes you feel better. Maybe the self-induced hair tugging activity falls into that mind teaser category too.

I just tried it, and while I did not feel a surge of pep, it did cause a feeling of relaxation, much like massaging my scalp after having my hair up all day!

Holly, I don't know...but I would be more apt to give my ear a squeeze...than to be pulling my hair out! They already think I am going over the edge...that will just prove it to them!

Aren't you the brave one Stef??? Was your hubby in the room, LOL! It probably does work...just hit my funny bone I guess...still making me chuckle!

I could see it causing the relaxation Stef is talking about. I know when I take my hair down after it has been up all day and I massage my scalp I get very sleepy. I will remember this little tip when I am tired to see if it works!

that's even funnier! and pixi, I agree, I used to wear my hair up...and I know what you mean. I don't have any idea why it hit my funny bone...just images of women pulling their hair out...which we do anyway... somehow being the de-stressing, energy invigorating answer... didn't come to mind.

hair tugging, ear pulling... could make for a funny SNL skit when you're with unsuspecting friends & family

Does anybody know anything about Robert Ferguson's Food Lover's Program? Saw a write up about pairing slow carbs, protein and fiber w/ higher carb foods...and being that I am in maintainance, was wondering if this would be something to try...like once a week...to enjoy the occasional item I have gone without for a long time. ??? just wondering. Also it said to eat every 2-3 hours, all day long, to keep the metabolism fire burning...add the water to flush...and you could expect to lose at a much higher rate. So, do any of you eat every 2-3 hours consistently all day??? again, just curious?
