Ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Gained a little weight but also didn't sleep very well. I'm feeling kind of jet lagged but without the jet. It's just the lag :)
I went to the doctor yesterday. I thought I was getting blood tests but he prescribed me magnesium right away. On the good side, I didn't have to pay for the blood tests; on the downside, I was genuinely curious about what else may be missing and whether everything else is ok etc... But, for now, if this fixes the problem I will probably delay those blood tests until a more convenient time arrives...

I eat far healthier then anyone I personally know. Sometimes I feel like it bothers people that I refuse to eat so many things because they are so processed and I also refuse to eat pork. Best Health choices I have made!

This is an amazing coincidence iamachristianjesusfreak! lol I haven't eaten pork in a long time and today was the first (pork liver). I have bought it previously just to safeguard against low b12 and iron levels. But now I'm realizing that I must not have low B12 levels and I probably only need to worry about magnesium and iron :)

And, supposedly, dark leafy greens should provide with enough iron (haven't been getting enough of those since I appear to have a subconscious aversion to them lol)

oops, wait, I've apparently confused iron with magnesium. So, for magnesium, dark leafy greens, for iron, liver is still among the highest concentration choice along with shellfish

magnesium deficiency causes muscle problems while iron deficiency causes anemia

beyond a certain degree that is :)

I think it's undeniable that highly processed foods are, generally speaking not good for one's health. They are very convenient and sometimes also very tasty but the chemicals added as perservatives, colorants and for taste are a big problem. But I didn't know that pork was also problematic iamachristianjesusfreak! :)

It makes me feel sluggish and bloated.

Thanks for the tip! I will look for other types of liver though I don't know if there are :P I think that, once I resume eating more meat, that I will probably not need to eat liver at all :)

Or just take any brand in tablet form uf u dont like the taste. I think.natures own is just the name of the brand its not necessarily natural i would have to check.

Chicken liver is what we eat here. Battered and fried is the only way I will eat it though. lol!

We primarily eat chicken, turkey and deer burger.

I usually only eat pork when it's in a meat mix when I eat out :). The last time I remember specifically eating pork was probably more than two years ago. I don't know why, when I eat meat, it would usually be to get less fat and better price (chicken) or for taste (beef) ;) Pork sits kind of in the middle although many people here argue they love its taste. I was never a huge fan though, especially the dark variety which is so fatty that it almost makes me nauseous lol.

But it's definitely the cheapest meat, by far :)

Have you never had it? It is very good and since deer are grass fed I am sure it is also healthier and leaner then the chicken or turkey I buy at the store.
