This happens to me every week...seems like my weight goes up on weekends...what the heck? It discourages me a bit but in the long run the numbers keep going down....

Two things that might help: Average your weight each week, that way even though it goes up and down, you can see that overall you're moving in the right direction (A typical adult’s body contains about 40 quarts of water, but it can safely range between 39 and 41 quarts. Since each quart weighs 2 pounds, your body weight randomly varies across a 4-pound “gray zone.” Thirst and kidney function kick in only when you get to the bottom or top of this zone. ~from the atkins website about weight averaging) Also, take your measurements once in a while - it could be that your weight is moving around and changing from fat to muscle... good luck!

Same here! I was steadily losing 1 lb per week but now I am yoyo-ing throughout the week. The weight is still decreasing on average, but it's tough and kinda discouraging. Let's keep at it!! Argh.

Thanks for your comments. Sorry I'm slow respond to you all. We've been experiencing "Blizzard 2011" here in SC or what a South Carolinian would consider "blizzard" (about 8 inches of snow). I've actually done really well eating the right things while being stuck inside for 3 days. I wanted to snack all day since I was stuck on the couch, but I did great. I'll try all these tips and see what I get. Thanks and good luck to you all!
