A few days into my new lifestyle and I'm tempted to hop on the scale, but I'm holding out until Saturday morning (a week from when I started). Because I've done this before, I know that stepping on the scale daily is not a healthy choice for me. Simply put, as long as I'm making good food choices and exercising, I KNOW that it will show up on the scale eventually. There's no point in tormenting myself daily.

Speaking of eating well and exercising, I'm not recording everything on here, but I am tracking in a journal. I've been pleased with my choices, but the temptation of chocolates leftover from the holidays has been hard to pass up. Seeing as how I'm starting a new job where I'll be surrounded by chocolate all day long, I'm working hard now to reduce my sugar cravings so that I'll be able to handle myself without going overboard while at work.

I feel good though - I know that I'm dedicated, so this is definitely going to work. Afterall, I'm the only one that can stand in my way, and I've already decided that nothing's going to stop me. Healthy lifestyle (and weight!), here I come!
