Sphinxy's Journal, 02 Jan 14

I wonder why the first 10 minutes of doing a moderate exercising is the hardest, at least for me. My mind was telling me to quit. Each second feels like a minute. The thighs feel like they are cramping, and I am breathing like an overworked pack horse. But I did it. I broke through that wall that makes those first few minutes absolute HELL and finished my exercise. And hey, those last few minutes started to become enjoyable. I definitely do not get this feeling when I walk. I wonder if there are any journal articles on this. New research topic of the night :)

I realize that the muscles need more ATP when exercising. I just didn't remember it taking that long for my body to produce the additional energy lol

I listen to music, to drown out my thoughts of quitting and my breathing ;)

:) The problem with music for me is I am that terrible person that keeps changing the song halfway though because I thought I wanted to listen to it, but turns out not really lol. So I end up switching the song, then trying to find one I like...which usually results in me not peddling anymore. Today I was reciting the bones in the body starting with the skull and I made it to the coccyx when my timer went off. Nerdy, I know, but it focused my brain on something other than exercising :)
