squigglywiggly's Journal, 18 Dec 10

It is going to be HOT today so I exercised before breakfast for a change. Did the leg workout - lots of squats and lunges and sweat LOL. I have a lot of housework to do and designing as well, not sure how I will fit it all in, but I know that I will spend a good amount of time on here too - it is so addictive! LOL

Good going!! Wish I could do squats & lunges, but I still feel I'm too heavy and might get stuck! Maybe in a few months....

I can do the squats happily but hate the lunges, sometimes I substitute squats for them LOL. I am just not a lungey type of gal!

hey...was reading your journal entry and wondering where you were from beings you said it was HOT where you are..New Zealand, wow!! sorry to here of the awful earthquake..thats gotta b a scary thing to experience...I can't even imagine..sounds as if your keeping yourself busi though and thats a good thing...esp for stress relief..^_^ hope u and ur fam are all safe now there in New Zealand..I think you'll do well on Atkins..espcially since you have lots to do to keep busi bc any form of exercise or motion helps lots!! i did atkins years ago when I was well and did really good on it...lost a sugnificant amount of weight and kept it off till i got sick a few years ago..tried atkins again since Ive put on about 60 lbs but this time around, with the physical incapacities, Not so good for me...so at present, just watching cals and trying to maintain..just had surgery and have two more to go...had hysterectomy in aug..but bladder issues now, plus kidney stones...and back /spinal injections for back issues...so like i said going thru lots and sorta disabled from any form of exercise..atleast for a few more months...:( but in good spirits...this site helps lots with making one aware of RDI and cals and such..so the awareness alone makes as a good bedfellow...^_^ so to speak...Lol anyways wish you well..stick with it and it will do you good..for sure...^_^ Darlene

Woohoo got 4 loads of washing on the line and emptied the dishwasher. I hope people don't mind if I post what housework I have done in here, might help me to keep more motivated and it does burn calories LOL Thanks Darlene and Laurie. It is almost 30C here right now and not even lunchtime LOL. The sun is much more intense here in New Zealand than elsewhere in the world. Burn time today is 16 minutes. I plan on staying inside LOL. Darlene we are having very few aftershocks now thankfully, I don't think I felt any the last few days! I think you could still do Atkins while watching your calories too. Laurie - I am addicted to the wonderful people on here - you guys rock! I love reading comments on my journals and catching up with what is happening with everyone else. I hope you have an awesome day too!

I am so glad I exercised early. With a burn time of only 10 minutes I risk sunburn just getting the overdry clothes off the washing line LOL. It is HOT out there! around 32C - going outside is like walking into a very scenic and pretty oven ROFL!

5.18pm and it is still way too hot outside, hotter than the last time I posted. Inside is way hotter than I can handle. I am so worried the heat will give me worse blisters :(
