I started this program on October 1, 2013 when the doctor told me I was a prime candidate for heart attack, diabetes, and a variety of other diseases. The doctor attributed all of them to my weight. As of December 18, 2013 I have gone from 241 pounds to 225.5 pounds. That's 16.5 pounds in 11 weeks. My long term goal is 26 pounds in 26 weeks.

On March 5, 2014, I plan on stepping on the scales and seeing 214.5 pounds. That means I will have gone from being Obese Class I to just being overweight. Then I can focus on going from being overweight to just being normal. I've also scheduled my semi-annual check-up with the doctor for Wednesday March 12, 2014 so I see the look on his face.

I'm convinced that most of the blood chemistry problems are also weight related, so a full blood panel is also scheduled for March 12, 2014 and I can compare my results with the ones from October.

4 days until this challenge starts. Just finished my excel spreadsheet to track my progress. If anyone is interested in a copy, let me know and I will forward. Confirmed schedule with blood panel, which is now March 30, 2014. So I've got a few extra days. In fact I've got exactly 18 extra days which means 211.5 when I step on the scales. That will be a 30 pound weight loss, which is really going to shock the doctor. I'm looking forward to the blood chem report, which among other things should show my cholesterol below 200.
