Today is a new day, fresh start. Yesterday I felt like I did not stick very well to my calorie count. Today I will be watching much closer to that. I was actually pissed off about it yesterday because everyday I actually try very hard to watch what goes in. So yesterday morning I was hungry so I had pancakes. I was blown away but how many calories this food counter had attributed to my very small and minimal breakfast and it made my whole day just not cool. Around this house I am not the one who does the shopping and truth be told I don't believe I am even considered when it is done. I have to select from a very limited grocery shelf. So I can eat eggs all the time or nothing. When it comes to lunch it is soup or toast. I'm just venting but today will not be a pancake day. I will just go without. Have a great day friends.

I hear you about surprises on calorie counts. (Blown away on how many calories in a very small portion of peanut butter). I had to just recently have a change in mindset- I can have 1/2 portions of stuff! It took me a while to get through my thick skull this simple concept. It helps me get over feelings of resentment for not being able to sample stuff I like.

Thank you waynem37, I will continue to watch this as I can see it is going to be a problem for me. I just want to be normal. Sometimes when I see what others are able to eat and get away with it just angers me that my body just wont let me be normal.

Eh, normal is overrated......... :) ~~ Seriously though, as you keep losing weight your metabolism will improve and your body will become a high octane, calorie burning machine. Keep at it- I know patience isn't my thing, so I know it can be tough.

I know how you feel about the calorie counts on those pancakes. That is something I like, but I have chosen not to eat them. I'm trying to get rid of most of the carbs I eat each day I don't eat much bread or sugar. Like wayne It took a little time for me to realize I could eat half portions, or even quarter portions!! Keep your spirits up! I know it can be hard living with someone that sort of forgets you are even there!!! I lived with the In Laws for a while, and it was and experience!! I love them though!! Have a great weekend!!!
