squigglywiggly's Journal, 12 Nov 10

Went out last night and my husband's uncle is visiting from overseas and he mentioned that he noticed that I had lost weight and joked that my husband isn't feeding me enough LOL. All translated of course. I told him that he had made my day! It is so nice to hear as normally people notice but don't say a word...

Woke up this morning with a terribly sore throat :( Will still be walking for an hour this afternoon if it is not too hot.

Broke the news to my hubby that there are MORE foods I can't eat LOL. Just as well there are still some that I can huh? I think I will miss raspberries and nuts the most, never liked lettuce and green leafy veggies anyway! LOL

I guess I should go tidy the house, visitors coming around today or tomorrow and I would hate for them to see it messy.

Gotta do my taxes today too - eek! Seriously running out of time now.

We can do this - yes we can! Well, I can......

That is wonderful that others are seeing your results and commenting on it. YAHOO!!!! Why are there more food you CAN'T eat? Why can't you have raspberries and nuts? About the only veggies that I don't really like is lettuce. Everything else is great. You have a wonderful day and enjoy your company that is coming to visit.:)

I miss raspberries too. Hopefully, some day after most of the weight is off, we can eat them again in moderation:)lol:) If I had of eaten in moderation before I wouldn't have gained all the weight that I did. But today is a new day. No longer will I say I can't. I will say that I can. Congrats on the weight loss. You are doing it!!! You and I can do it!!!

I am starting to eat a low nickel diet to see if it helps my hand blisters (food in nickel is a common culprit) but nickel is very hard to stay away from in food and in real life. But I will try! Green leafy vegetables are out, as are nuts, raspberries and loads of other foods. But the mainstays of atkins like meat/poultry, eggs, cheese and some veggies are fine. It's just a shorter OK list than I had before but I will do almost anything to rid my hands and feet of the recurring blisters.
