While I didn't do horrible I didn't do the best this weekend. However, I must say I made it through this Halloween eating the least amount of candy and junk then any other Halloween. I also got to the gym Sat and Sun. Which in Halloween's past was un-thinkable.

While I didn't get as much done with the house as I would have liked I did get a large majority of our clothes over there, sorted, and hung up in the closets that they belonged in. We made the mistake of purchasing bed frames for the kids with drawers in them. Needless to say they came in a box in about 40 pieces. I looked at the directions and there was only 16 steps so I thought "it can't be that bad". Huh, after 2 hours we only got to step 8. LOL So what I thought was going to take a few hours tops for both beds will be a several day project. O well that God we have a house to put them in and that we have beds. I was really impressed with my 14 year old. He got up this morning and put his desk together all by himself. He even followed the directions so other then mixing up a few screws he didn't end up with any extra parts. LOL And it is functioning properly and is sturdy. I'm proud of him.

Well I hope everyone had an awsome weekend and heres to an awsome up coming week.

Excellent! We are creatigna way of life, not totally depriving ourselves. The fact that you ate LESS than any other Halloween is a step in the right direction! By making these baby steps all year round we are improving our over all health in the long run. Just think, if next year you goal is to do BETTER than THIS year and so on how it will be? Soon it will just be a couple small pieces of chocolate (or whatever your favorite is) and you will thoroughly enjoy them instead of snarfing them down mindlessly! (well at least *I* used to snarf them mindlessly, I should not assume about you, LOL)

Great job in doing better this year than last year. Sound like you have a real bright 14 year old son. Amazing!

I like what Sima said, about how great you did passing up the candy and going to the gym, such a big improvement over past years. You are progressing and becoming a new healthier you! I think its great that your 14 yr old son put his desk together by himself. Its not easy putting that stuff together. Hubby and I got a laundy cabinet with tilt out hamper/drawers... it took us seven hours to put it together!! Im so glad you are getting things settled in the house and it must feel so good to be home again.

Let me chime in on the 'improvement' theme as well ... whenever I fall down, I try to remember what I was doing at this time the previous year and what better, healthier choices I'm making overall. If I have dessert AND wine AND red meat at dinner, I just remember that last year I would have had the bread, and and appetizer, something fried, dessert, and beer. I've been duped by so called "easy to assemble furniture" as well. And that ends with a call to my mechanically inclined brother in law and leaves me out $50 and a case of beer!

Leave it to your 14 year old son - when my son was that age he used to just kindly push me out of the way and take care of those kinds of projects by himself...I think he figured out early I would just be in his way! Great job on the awesome halloween weekend - you did a super job!
