BAD, Bad, bad weekend!! I don't know why I let myself undo all my hard work on the weekends. So stupid. It's like I work hard all week and then blow it on the weekend and have to start over. No loss, no gain, but not moving in the right direction! Ugh!! I have got to start working out. I am just so dang lazy. I am going to commit to some sort of exercise each day this week. Whether it is pilates or riding my bike, I will DO something each day!!

The same thing happens to me on the weekend, and then sometimes extends itself for a couple of days beyond that. The exercise is always a great way to get back on track and I intend to do something similar. Still, all you need is a little bump in the right direction and you will feel that you are doing great. Hang in there Gracie! :-)

Yes! I have got to tell ya - the EXERCISE makes all the difference in the world. There are so many times when exercise chases away the hunger. Tonight I came home from work HUNGRY. I drank a V-8 and snacked on five whole grain chips and some salsa. I put the smoked sausage in the oven, and went for a FAST,CHILLY walk. When I came home, I was NOT as hungry as I might have been. The activity is TOUGH when you have little ones. Keep at it!

Atta Girl! Remember strength training builds muscle, which in turn revs up your metabolism - and I am all for burning more calories while I am sleeping. Try your local community education classes - might be a way to get out of the house and meet some new fitness friends. Don't be so hard on yourself -- look forward and you will do better this weekend -- I still say you are on a roll - just look at your chart! Have a good one!

Those weekend football parties can sure cause problems with the diet. Try chewing gum to keep you away from nibbling on all that food. I agree that adding activity will make the difference. The only exercise I did in the beginning of my weight loss journey was walking around our subdivision for 30 minutes about 3 times a week. It made me get my energy and stamina back and I eventually (7 mos later) joined the gym. We still walk a few times a week and go to the gym on the other days. It's habit forming after a while. Come up with a reasonable plan of attack and stick to it for at least 6 weeks so you can get into the habit of doing it. I like the idea of a family walk if you have a place close to home to walk. You can do it!
