SturgeonQueen's Journal, 25 Oct 10

Well, my dad was down this past weekend, and first off - he didn't care much about the dog. He wasn't mad or anything. He liked Spencer. So that was way easier than I expected.

Now, I didn't record any food just because I wasn't really sitting around on the computer at all while my dad was here. He got in late on Friday night, we cooked dinner for him (Bison burgers - but I ate A LOT, I think it was my like only meal on Friday)... and then went to bed basically. Saturday all day was running around, I had to go to the damn grocery store like 15 times to get stuff for the cookies I wanted to make for the Hog Roast on Sunday... and I was trying to make good, low calorie cookies, but they ALL TURNED OUT LIKE SHIT. Like, awful consistency, didn't cook up right or didn't look or taste right. So I had to default to the ORIGINAL Chocolate Chip cookie recipe, and just substitute in my Whole Wheat Flour, Splenda and Splenda Brown Sugar. They were good but I wouldn't recommend using Whole Wheat flour for cookies.

Anyway, so the hog roast was yesterday. I was working on cooking the hog and stuff from 7am til around 4pm, then from like 4-8pm we ate and played games and walked around and talked and then came home. I was so tired but I paid little to no attention to what I ate because... well, I was so active, and, it was the hog roast. So, i'm on my TOM and I weighed myself today, I'm only up 0.6lbs from my current weigh-in weight, so I think I'm still okay. Gotta get back to working out, but we might have a volleyball game tonight at like 10pm, which means I won't work out after that most likely. Who knows.

Hi SQ! Sorry about the cookies. I have a recipe book...don't know what it's called, but they make all these low calorie desserts from simple stuff - usually not "healthy" stuff, but supposedly tastes pretty good. Next time you need a recipe, I'll look for one. Must have missed a lot the last few days - didn't know you were having a hog roast! sounds like you all had fun. Thanks for your PM. I haven't responded to much yet - feel good, then need drugs, then it's all off - you know?
