suechru's Journal, 19 Oct 10

Tonight's entry will not be profound. It will not be deep and moving.

Mainly because I don't have the time or energy for deep, moving and profound. I worked 9 hours today, ushered for another 3 and am working up the energy to tackle my finance homework. I have class again tomorrow so I'm not going to get much in the way of downtime until Thursday. It's a busy time at work (hence the OT), and then there's all the stuff I commit to because... well, because I don't yet grasp the concept that high energy does not equal unlimited energy.

I think I might have to sink to blocking off me time on my calendar. Yes, I'm that busy. I'm ushering another show on Friday and doing a diabetes walk on Sunday morning. I also have a midterm next week and I'm going away next weekend. While I'm ridiculously busy the load seems so much more manageable lately. Maybe it's because things are starting to fall into place, I don't know.

I'm thinking that I'm going to be close to goal #2 (the Pandora bracelet) by Thanksgiving. I could be surprised and have it happen before but I'm guessing that about another month and a half for the 13 lbs to that goal. (Although we'll certainly see.)

Affirmations for today:
1) It's not the load that breaks you, it's the way you carry it

2) Sleep is not the enemy

3) Change your thoughts, change your habits, change your mind, change your body, change your life (Note: This is on my facebook page these days. I really have this as my mantra.)

Oh, sorry, I should've clarified! Basically they're newer versions of charm bracelets (less clunky, very customizable.) I'm not going to completely fill it with charms when I get it as I want to leave room for a few special ones - (one for when I finish my MBA, another for when I get engaged, and one for when I buy a house etc.) but I will definitely post pictures. :)
