Another experiment that I'm going to try over the coming days is to ditch the sweetner (monkfruit) that I use in my coffee. I've recently read that adding sweetners throughout the day causes a ratchet effect meaning that your insulin levels never drop low enough to access your fat stores as fuel. so limiting my sweetners to actual sweet treats (that I like to have after a meal either once or twice a day) will be my new limit to using sweetners. usually I have a black full strength coffee with sweetner in the morning and then switch to decaf after lunch with sweetner and sometimes have about 3 of these during the day. so I'll be reducing my sweetner intake by 4. coffee without sweetner is not so bad. I mean I have transitioned from full strength coffee with sugar and milk to coffee with monkfruit sweetner and cream to black coffee with monkfruit sweetner and same with decaf after lunch. Now its one more step in my coffee journey. black and that's it!
